Prince George’s County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department will be conducting enhanced enforcement efforts this holiday weekend to ensure that county residents and visitors are safe as they travel throughout the county during the Memorial Day weekend.
Chief Roberto Hylton has assigned additional officers and task forces to be deployed throughout the County this weekend. In an effort to deter drinking and driving police will be conducting DUI saturation patrols within the County. The Livable Community Initiative (LCI) Task Force will be ensuring that establishments are in compliance with county codes along with deterring criminal activity.
“The safety and well-being of our citizens and visitors are always our primary concern; therefore, this weekend we will be conducting high visibility patrol throughout the County. There will be a zero tolerance policy in effect for anyone found loitering, trespassing, or drinking and driving. Those found engaging in any type of behavior that endangers the public’s safety will be arrested and prosecuted,” said Chief Hylton.
