Police Investigate Homicide on Dallas Drive



        Prince George’s County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a homicide that occurred in Temple Hills, Maryland.

        On March 28, 2010, at approximately 2:12 a.m., patrol officers responded to the 3400 block of Dallas Drive for a reported shooting.  When patrol officers arrived, they found two males suffering from gunshot wounds.  Lorenzo Steven Smith, Jr., 35, of the 3900 Block of Dent Street in Capitol Heights was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.  A second victim, 33, was also shot and transported to a local hospital, where he is expected to survive.  Both victims have extensive criminal backgrounds.  Homicide detectives are working to identify the suspect(s) and to establish a motive.
