PGPD to Host First Annual “Youth Explosion”



Prince George's County, Maryland …The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Community Services Division along with the Circle of H.O.P.E. ( Healing Our Personal Environment) and Office of Youth Strategies will host its first annual “Youth Explosion.”  The event will highlight youth programs like the Police Athletic League (PAL), The Police Explorers and other anti-gang and anti-crime prevention initiatives.

  The Prince George’s County Police Department believes that the only way to provide services that make a difference is to work cooperatively and in partnership with our youth, our communities and local businesses.
 
“Our goal is to strengthen community fences by reducing juvenile violence, gang affiliations and to instill community support. This is one of many ways our department will display our philosophy of “One Team, One Mission.” said Chief of Police Roberto Hylton.
