Prince George’s County, Maryland…. Prince George’s County Police Chief Roberto Hylton is pleased to announce the results of Operation “One Team One Mission”. The operation, which ran for eight hours, was conducted on Thursday, October 29th and included officers from the Department’s Special Assignment Teams, Robbery Suppression Teams, Narcotics Enforcement Division, Violent Crime Task Force, Gang Unit, Auto Theft Unit, Special Operations Division, Detective Bureaus, as well as several sworn administrative assignments. The additional personnel joined patrol officers to conduct proactive enforcement operations in neighborhoods throughout Prince George’s County. This operation will be conducted several more times throughout the upcoming months.
During Thursday’s operation, officers made 61 arrests, 450 traffic stops, impounded 19 vehicles, documented 214 suspicious persons stops, recovered 2 guns and seized over $11,000 worth of drugs.
“We are taking this enforcement action to maintain safety for our residents. With ‘Operation-One Team, One Mission’, we are letting those individuals engaged in criminal activity know that we intend to be everywhere they are and we are looking for them,” said Chief Roberto Hylton.
