PRESS RELEASE
Police Seek Information in Fatal Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Crash

       Prince George’s County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit continue to investigate a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred in Bladensburg, Maryland. 

       On June 23, 2011 at approximately 6:20 p.m., Luis Felipe Leonardo-Candelario, 17, of the 4100 block of 51st Street was walking in the 4900 block of Quincy Street, when he was struck by a vehicle. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. 

       Police are seeking information on the driver of the striking vehicle who failed to remain on the scene, or any additional information about the crash. The vehicle is being described as a silver or gray SUV, 2004 model year or older.
