Prince George’s County Maryland… The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating the homicide of 28 year-old James William Speaks Jr., yesterday evening in Oxon Hill, Maryland.   

On May 11, 2011 at approximately 7:04 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 4400 block of Wheeler Road for a report of a shooting.  Upon arrival, officers found James Speaks, of the 4500 block of Wheeler Road in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound.  He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  Detectives are working to identify the suspect(s) and establish a motive in this case.
