PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTIONS RECRUITS ELECTION JUDGES

 

UPPER MARLBORO, MD – Prince George’s County Board of Elections is recruiting individuals to serve as election judges for this year's Presidential General Election. The county primarily needs judges who are registered to vote as Republican or Unaffiliated.

To qualify as an election judge, one must be able to work at the polling places on November 6, 2012.  Moreover, these individuals must be registered to vote in the State of Maryland, must be able to speak, read, write in English, and must not hold or be a candidate for, public or party office, in accordance with the Election Code.

Finally, election judges may not serve as a campaign manager for a candidate and may not serve as a treasurer for any campaign financial entity.  Election judges are required to participate in training and will receive compensation for their service.
