LARGO, MD - Prince George’s County government offices will be closed on Wednesday, November 11, 2009, in observance of Veterans Day. 

TheBus, a public transit service operated by Prince George’s County’s Department of Public Works and Transportation, will operate route service on Wednesday, November 11, except for Routes 51 and 51-Extended, which run to and from the Equestrian Center, Court House, County Administration Building and Chrysler Building.  The County’s Para-transit, Call-A-Bus and Call-A-Cab services will not run on November 11.  Normal operations of TheBus and Para-transit services will resume on Thursday, November 12. 

The Department of Environmental Resources (DER) announced that the Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill will operate on a normal schedule on Wednesday, November 11, 2009.  In addition, all waste management facilities and collection services, including refuse and recycling, will operate on a normal schedule on November 11.  For more information, please call DER’s Waste Management Group at (301) 952-7630.
